Jade Piol

Based in Nantes, France, Jade Piol is an illustrator and textile artist whose work revolves around the creation of figurative scenes and patterns.

After studying visual communications in Lorient and obtaining a diploma in textile design at the Beaux Arts de Lyon, Jade began her life as an artist in applied illustration and textile graphics.

After experiencing the rigor and project management of major brands such as Timberland and Hugo Boss, Jade went freelance in 2020. She continues to work on textile motifs, while developing a parallel practice as an illustrator.

In her illustrative work, Jade is unencumbered by line, composing her images with flat areas of strong, light-absorbing colors. Contrast and the discreet effects of grain and texture are enough to create the shape and perspective of her works.

Governed by pomegranate orange, bluish violet and warm green, her illustrations explore themes between travel and intimacy.
